A stalwart Rochester favorite for over 13 years, Tony D.’s, led by owner & chef Jay Speranza, continues to delight the palette with flavors that are at once traditional, authentic, and modern. Classically trained with more than 30 years’ experience, Chef Speranza focuses his creative energy on elevating traditional Italian dishes, food that lives in his heart and soul. Growing up in the Rochester area, Chef Speranza and Tony D.’s share in the city’s fortunes, even through pandemic challenges.


Taking the necessary precautions, Tony D.’s carried on, offering takeout while also donating food to essential personnel at area hospitals. Inspired, community members began ordering food from Tony D.’s to feed other essential workers, as well. “We are interwoven with the community and have enjoyed its support and love to this day.”

Although the pandemic was very debilitating economically, Tony D.’s has come out strong and continues to do everything it can to advocate for the community. “We made it through, and we look to the future with hope and optimism. We are thrilled that once again Rochester is lifting us up and helping us move forward.”
