Born From a Personal Journey

The inspiration behind brooksybox is deeply personal. The business grew from a moment of vulnerability that turned into something meaningful and lasting.

“This business was born from a feeling I experienced,” Lauren shares. “I struggled with infertility for several years before our first son, Brooks, was born through IVF. When my sister-in-law came to meet him, she brought a basket of items to care for me and my recovery – not just a gift for the baby. I was blown away and shed a few hormone-fueled tears. During such a vulnerable time, when I felt like I only existed to care for someone else, she made me feel so seen and supported. I wanted every woman to experience that feeling, no matter where she is on her motherhood journey.”

That powerful experience became the heart and mission behind every package.

More Than a Gift

“We are not your typical gifting company,” she explains. “We support women through all stages of their motherhood journey, and we are not afraid to speak on topics long considered taboo. Having experienced infertility myself, I know the path to motherhood is not linear, which is why our care packages go beyond pregnancy and postpartum. Each box is intentionally designed to care for her based on the stage she is in – supporting her through the highs, the lows, and the moments that really suck.”

Every package includes products that are clean, safe, and thoughtfully sourced from women-owned businesses. Each box is also beautifully wrapped and includes a handwritten note, which has become one of the most meaningful parts of the business.

“One moment that stands out is when I helped a mother send a care package to her daughter after her second-trimester pregnancy loss,” she shares. “After receiving it, her daughter reached out to thank me for creating something so meaningful during one of the hardest moments of her life. We have stayed connected, and that makes my heart so happy. The relationships formed through this business mean so much to me.”

It’s such a small thing that brings so much calm - and a little laugh during this time."

“Our most-loved package among customers is the Baby Loss Care Package, Always Mine. I think it resonates so deeply because people often do not know what to say or do when someone they love experiences a loss, and this care package provides a meaningful way to show up and let them know they care.”
