Janis Reed Interiors Opens Design Studio, Home & Gift At The Piano Works in East Rochester

The Rochester area is getting a measure of lake house love from local design firm and

home furnishings retailer Janis Reed Interiors.

Rochester NY, June 14 – Since its beginning in 1998, Janis Reed Interiors has been

providing clients with a luxury design journey from blueprints to furnishings. On June

24, the company will officially open their new Design Studio, Home & Gift boutique at

The Piano Works in East Rochester.

True to her aesthetic of fresh, classic sophistication in a beachy palette of warm

neutrals and watery blues and greens, the boutique features an ever-changing variety

of the brand’s best-selling products in furniture, home décor, lighting, tabletop and

gift categories.

It’s also home to her design firm, providing existing and prospective clients a creative

space to inspire ideas. The extensive resource library includes custom furniture options,

fabrics, wallpaper, area rugs, lighting and custom window treatments. A functioning

wet bar doubles as a handsome display for the custom cabinetry and Cambria quartz

the firm represents.

“I’d been searching a long time for the right location and found it at The Piano Works.

It’s central to all the areas we serve and supports us in our mission to help more people

live beautifully at home,” explains Reed.

“In designing the interior, I wanted to create an unrivaled shopping experience for our

customers. It’s about feeling like you’re entering my own home. There will be uplifting

music, pleasant scents, plus a daily treat and beverage to enjoy! I hope shoppers will

feel welcome and comfortable enough to stay awhile.”

In addition to her product assortments, Reed is partnering with local artisans to feature

their creations, from fine art to chocolates. She’s constantly on the lookout for items

that complement the design aesthetic of the boutique.

Plans for the new space include interactive events to engage the community such as

monthly lunch ‘n learns, pop-ups and fundraisers. “We’re all about educating, sharing

and connecting with our clients and customers. We can’t wait to welcome you here,”

says Reed.
